How Donors Transformed Patient Care Across Oklahoma in Q1 FY26
Ribbon Cutting for the INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Courage Garden at Southwest Medical Center
In the first quarter of FY26, donor generosity powered life-changing improvements across the entire INTEGRIS Health system. From advancing behavioral health technology in Oklahoma City to strengthening rural hospital services in Grove, Miami, and Enid, Foundation funds made a direct impact on thousands of patients. This quarter’s projects highlight a shared goal: ensuring every patient receives exceptional care close to home.
Below is a detailed look at how philanthropy supported hospitals across the state in Q1.
INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center
Advancing Critical Care and Patient Comfort
Donor support funded essential technology and programs that strengthened patient care across multiple specialties. These Q1 investments included AI behavioral health tools for crisis response, gaming technology for pediatric sensory support, upgraded NICU ultrasound equipment, and lodging assistance for transplant families. Additional funding covered post-transplant medications, indigent patient care, STOP the Bleed community readiness kits, pediatric surgery tools, and comfort gifts that made hospital stays easier for young patients.
Major equipment purchases, such as new perfusion systems for heart surgery, enhance surgical safety and outcomes. Burn survivors and their families also received expanded support through the Burn Center SOAR program. Hospice patients in financial crisis received compassionate end-of-life assistance, while the Joy Cart and Cardiac Rehab Assistance programs strengthened patient well-being.

Q1 projects at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center included the development of the Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Courage Garden, a therapeutic outdoor space helping rehabilitation patients regain strength and independence. Donors also funded labor and delivery comforts, transportation and medical support through the Care Coordination Program, and advanced nurse training to support future leaders.
Community outreach continued through the Corporate Community Health Giving Fund and Community and Mobile Clinics, meeting families where they are with screenings, education, and preventive care. Neuromuscular go-chairs, ICU precision scales, caregiver emergency assistance, scholarships, and patient equipment support helped meet urgent needs for individuals and caregivers throughout the quarter.
